August 2, 2008
After a long wait, I am finally headed back into the studio. It took me a while to find an opening at my favorite studio in Nashville, Sonic Eden. Sonic Eden is one of the very best studios in Nashville! It is owned and operated by my long-time friend John Albani. John is one of the most artistic people I have ever met. He is a world class guitarist, sound engineer, photographer and just all around nice guy. I will be laying down tracks for my next project and am excited about the new material. The finished tracks will be available on Itunes almost immediately. I am planning to have the CD packaged and ready for distribution by February of '09. Advance copies will be available at my live shows.

WINNER
-
May 3, 2008
I was the winner of the 20th Annual B. W. Stevenson Songwriting Competion. The competition was held over 2 nights at Poor David's Pub in Dallas, TX. 12 semifinalists competed for a place on the final stage by performing 2 original songs before a live audience on April 24th. The 6 finalists selected, performed 4 original songs in front of a live audience made up of fans and judges on the evening of May 1st.
I was amazed at the level of the other writers and feel very blessed that I was the one the judges selected as the winner.
What did I win you ask? Some cash, a gig at the Tommy Alverson Annual Picnic, an opening slot for a national touring act and bragging rights for the next year.
